Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK)

GBK is a regular visit for us as you are always guaranteed a good burger for a decent price. always They go by the mantra serve the best burgers and have fun and that is exactly what they do.

They have a great choice to suit everyone from standard beef to lamb, chicken, buffalo and fish all come with a range of different toppings. My personal favourite and the one I chose on the most recent outing (picture above ^) is the panko crumbed and fried chicken burger with avocado and bacon with house mayo and salad. This is great burger which I have chosen many times and never disappoints. At £8:95 for the burger alone it can seem pricey for a chain restaurant however the quality ingredients and size more than make up for this.
Although it is names Gourmet Burger Kitchen and specialises in its fresh ingredients and burgers they also do some amazing sides. My personal favourite are the onion rings witch come stacked in a bowl (in picture above ^) and there are plenty for 2 to share. The others we choose this time were the chunky skin on fries and the blue cheese slaw.  Alex (the boyfriend) on this occasion opted for the Smokin' Joe (100% west country beef) which includes smoked cheese, dill pickle, shallots, tomato, relish and is served in a brioche bun. He will now tell you all about his experience. Hi Alex here, The Smokin' Joe is something I have had before and really enjoyed the beef burger at GBK is fantastic really juicy and cooked to perfection. I also really loved the blue cheese slaw a good twist on ordinary slaw.
Overall GBK is a great place to go if you are looking for a good burger at a great price the service is always good, you order at the bar rather than your traditional waiter service and you are also able to help your self to water, free range mayo and some nuts while you wait. If there is one near you we defiantly recommend you give it a go.
