The Old Auctioneer

We took a trip to Banbury not planning to find a new place to eat but luckily we stumbled upon this place. Having heard nothing about this pub, feeling hungry and walking by we were lucky enough to have stepped towards the menu on the door (liked what we saw) and went in.
Walking past it was not somewhere from the outside that would draw you in however I'm glad we went in.The first thing we noticed was the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere this cute pub had, we were greeted by a lovely person who asked if we were eating and we choose where we sat.

 As you can see from the pictures this place is like the cool living room you have always wanted and felt just as comfortable as your living room at home.

As you may notice from other posts we love burgers and if we eat out we often choose them so we said to each other we would have something different this time. We opted for Pizza and chicken fajitas, the fajitas you could hear and smell coming from the kitchen as them came out on a sizzling plate with peppers and onions that were char grilled. This came with wraps, cheese, salsa, sour cream and guacamole to create yourself which was a really good idea.

The chicken and veg was really tasty with a lovely flavour, I would say that the sides that accompanied this were not the best and could have done with out them.

The shining star of this meal was the pizza, homemade base with a really good texture and taste. This was the chicken fajita pizza with sour cream, guacamole and re fried beans on the top. It was really great and would definitely choose this again.



Overall this place won us over with the welcoming service from the lovely staff and the place itself, it was really comfortable and a lovely place to spend time.
